Innovation Zone
The innovation zone will see our headline sponsors showcase the latest culinary innovations surrounding their products and produce. Providing free-flowing, rolling demonstrations throughout the entire day, this zone allows for plenty of audience participation and provides hands-on answers to all your questions.

This zone is all about the promotion of food innovation and learning!

The Farmers Market and Great Taste Market

This year our Farmer's Market will feature a mix of national suppliers and local producers showcasing their products and fresh produce. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste some amazing food and drink throughout the day.

NEW to this year is the Great Taste Market. Great Taste is a major part of the Guild of Fine Food’s drive to encourage, promote and discover delicious fine food & drink. It’s now the world’s most trusted and respected award-scheme. This year UCFF will feature a dedicated area to showcase the fantastic products and suppliers deemed ‘edible gems’ by the Great Taste judges.

Take a tour of Laverstoke Park Farm

For those of you that are keen to learn more about Laverstoke why not sign up for a tour of the farm? During the tour you will visit the vineyard, soil lab and the Laverstoke's famous Buffalo, as well as being taken to the roots of where the unique food ethos at Laverstoke really begins.

Get your juices flowing and stir up your enthusiasm fresh new ideas by visiting this zone. It will feature a number of unique and thought provoking organisations to help you bring something new back to your kitchen. Get inspired!

Are you Game?

A huge hit at previous festivals, the game demo returns.  During this unique opportunity you will experience hanging, skinning and butchery of all kinds from our game experts, Mike Robinson (The Pot Kiln) and Brett Graham (The Ledbury).  They will show and explain how to bring out the best in your game, teaching you a number of skills on the way.

Forage in Nature's Hidden Larder

Take part in a relaxing foraging walk where you will discover nature's hidden larder full of natural produce. The tours will be led by ethnobotanist and professional forager Robin Harford.  You will be shown how to identify wild edible plants, as well as learning their stories, nutritional values, their folklore, mystery and history.

Bee Amazed!

This year we have a fantastic live beekeeping demonstration. Our beekeeper Colin Wheeler-James and his kit will give you a real insight into the busy life within a hive. You will see how bees store their pollen and generate their honey, as well as brood!

Dingley Dell's Flying Visit
BBQ Competition

We will be getting fully into the festival spirit with free beer and a BBQ in the evening, and music from The Broadside Boys. This year Dingley Dell will be hosting their 'Flying Visit Dirty Dozen BBQ Competition' where chefs will battle it out to cook some fantastic pork dishes for us all.
